Did ya miss me? Probably not as much as I hoped [ :( ]

I've been cooking up dishes in the kitchen [literally and metaphorically], and I've got a drafted mixdown of a new tune for you! Graft music video - Now on YouTube!

As some of you know [not all], I have been Graftin' in the lab, and video editing suite..to bring you 'Graft', the animated music video. I wanted to get a bit of an initial response before officially blogging it, and I did that.

I received a lot of support from family and friends, and have had a lot of positive feedback. On the other hand, I've also had a handful of people straight up hating on it/me. I'm not talking abut constructive criticism, I'm talkin' about people sending those any YouTube messages..."This is whack, your chin smells [WTF]" etc. [Seriously, I got that]

Anyway..I'm like, "B, I've dedicated one bar in this song to you! How can you say you don't like it?"

.........[altogether now] ''HI HATERS!!!" *waves*

In all honesty, I know that it's not gonna be fitting to everyone's taste, but I'm sure a few of those people will appreciate the effort it took. I have put too much hard work blood, sweat and tears [Yeah, I shed a few![not really]] into this project, and I will stand by my product 'til the end!!

Attacca Pesante ft Shea Soul - Make It Funky For Me

Ever since the trailer, I've been waiting for the final version! The AP guys feat. Shea Soul have been smashing up the funky scene with this tune, and now they've put up the official video!! The quality is on point, and I have nuthin' but love for the slow-mo which runs through the whole thing. It's a big look! A very big look.

I know Attacca Pesante are doing big things right now, so look out for them in a lot of places!

Shoutout to Zack, who finally decided on the best looking shot of him. Lol. You crazy for this one!

Clipse feat. Kanye West - Kinda Like A Big Deal

When I saw Clipse and 'Ye on the same line, I was like "JHEEZ!". The beat is fire, and it's nice to see a collaboration that wasn't really expected.

Clipse don't rock it as hard as I thought they would...although it still is pretty hard. I guess this is a bit more of a party/mainstream tune. Clipse are fire. Like, scorching hot. If you don't know, get to know..and if you thought you knew, take another look. I bump Hell Hath No Fury dreaming of Til The Casket Drops. Yeah I copped the mixtapes, don't watch that...but H.H.N.F is just a f*ckin' masterpiece.

Yowza. Remember last year when Calvin Harris lost baggage at Heathrow, along with the only copy of his new album.... and how the world wept? [Well not the whole world, I did......ok not really, but I did feel sorry for him.] Anyway....it was a lie!

"Calvin Harris has admitted that he lied about losing the master tapes of his new album at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5last year. The singer revealed that he made up the fib last April in order to buy himself some more time to finish recording the LP."

I have a few mixed emotions about this, fair enough it worked...why admit it? Or, just say you need more time B! Regardless, his new track is hot [titled 'I'm Not Alone']. It's less disco/electro [which Mr. Harris does very well], more dancey trancey, but none the less...still getting plays on my iTunes!

Not a diss post, I still ♥ Calvin Harris' music....and here's the the link to the new vid. KAPOW!.

New Eminem Video

Em's back, in true Slim Shady form with his new single "We Made You". Good to see him doing his thing again, let's hope the album is on point. Shoutouts to Dre and Em rockin' Star Trek garments, that Dr. Dre beat knock I ain't heard in a good while, and Miss Amy Winehouse getting dissed. You made it b! Lol.

Music Videos Pulled from Youtube

This morning I was 'having a Kiss breakfast' with Ricky and Melvin when their 'news set' [what is that actually called?] announced that by the end of the week UK YouTube users would not be able to watch any Music Videos. My face looked like this:

"YouTube in the UK is to be stripped of its most popular music videos after the site failed to agree a new licensing deal with the Performing Rights Society for Music, the trade body that collects music royalties.

YouTube said today that after the expiry of its former deal, PRS had proposed new payment terms that would be financially prohibitive for the site and would require YouTube to pay out more than it makes from the ads next to each video."

What a blow. [No, not Wha' Blo.] What a blow. YouTube is a muchos powerful form of promotion for any music artist. A lot of a music artists' revenue comes from Live Performances; and music videos posted on websites like YouTube can act as a catalyst to get consumers to buy tickets to gigs... and if they don't, it's publicity at the end of the day. I'm not too sure how this will affect indie artists - hopefully not in such a bad way.

I think a lot of blogs will suffer from this as well, although there are many other sites to videos from; how legal these are: I know not.

Anyways, I don't want to go to deep, this blog is for light reading! Read the article here and have your own say. I'll end by quoting a comment that someone left on the article, which is quite good me thinks.
